Privately printed by T. and A Constable, Edinburgh, Printers to His Majesty, 1906. A first and limited edition of 100 copies, of which this is number 72. An uncommon publication - Worldcat identifies around half of the original copies as being held in institutional holdings.

A very good black cloth hardback with some scuffing and shelf wear to covers. Gilt title to spine. Offsetting and spotting to pastedowns and blank endpapers. Soundly bound.

The text pages are rough cut, as issued, to fore-edge and lower edge, with the top being gilt. Some spotting to frontispiece margins and guard. Otherwise text is lovely and clean, including plates. The fold-outs are also bright and crisp, with the first one having a 7.5cm edge tear.
