A very good (approaching near fine) set of 4 hardbacks with leather spines and corners, with raised bands and title labels. Marbled paper over boards. Minor rubbing and shelf wear and small piece of Volume 1 title label missing. A handsome set. Soundly bound.
Text is lovely and clean throughout with occasional unobtrusive scholarly pencil annotation. Only very occasional age spotting, and a couple of small page edge tears near the rear of Volume 5. Overall a very well presented set.
