Printed at the University Press, Oxford by S. Collingwood & Co, Printers to the University. Sold by E. Gardner, Paternoster Row, London, 1836-37. Listed as 'Diamond 48's.'
A very good box set bound in limp black leather throughout. The box has a hinged lid and is scuffed and worn, but all still intact and is sound. The box has a small bookseller's label inside of J.H. Hoppe, The Strand.
The books are all in very good condition. Each with stiff black limp leather covers with gilt titles and bands to spine. The text pages are bright, clean and soundly bound with shiny gilt top edge and page marker ribbon. Each volume carries the previous owner's name in tiny, elegant script to blank endpaper, dated to the year of issue, 1837.
An uncommon British Bible variant.
