Burmese Mandalay Bronze Seated Buddha, 19th Century, 47cm high.


A striking example of an original Burmese Mandalay period bronze seated Buddha.

Seated with the right hand lowered in bhumisparsimudra and the left resting in his lap.

The face serene and meditative, extensive traces of gilding with red and black lacquer. The cast robes are beautifully draped.
