A very good teal green cloth hardback with gilt title to spine, and blind embossed decoration to covers. Mild bumping and wear to head and tail of spine. Some scuffing and markings to boards. Endpapers with some cracking, and offset foxing to first and last endpapers and light spotting to free endpapers. A little give in the spine, although all still securely bound.
Text is bright and clean throughout, with occasional scattered marginal mark. With mild spotting to edge of text block and dust-toned top edge. One marginal 3cm edge tear on p.509, just encroaching into edge of text. Illustrations are of high quality.
