This heavyweight volume is one of the most sought after works on Chinese Jade. Extremely rare.

The book has been expertly rebound by Temple Bindery of Oxford and has a beautiful dark green leather wrap around spine over green linen boards. Raised bands and gilt lettering to spine. Beautiful marbled endpapers have been added and an example of the original pictorial endpaper included at the rear. Fine condition and very attractive.

Text pages and plates are in fine condition throughout. The text on a heavy uncoated stock and plates on glossy paper. Plates are of fabulous quality with detailed erudite descriptions of the specimens.
