Vol. 1: Commencant a Faramond, & finissant a la fin du Regne de Saint Louys (330-1270). Frontispiece + title + iii + 617pp (last page mislabelled as 597) + 56pp Table des Matieres.
Vol 2: Commencant a Philippe III & finissant a Francois Premier (1270 - 1547). Title + 522p + 38pp Table des Matieres.
Vol 3: Commencant a Henry Second, & finissant a la fin du Regne de Henry IV ( (1547 - 1588). Title + ii + 551p + 37pp Table des Matieres.
A good set - all volumes bound in their original full leather calf with 5 raised bands to spine with gilt titles and decoration. Covers are shelfworn and leather mottled and bumped. Some losses and considerable wear to heads and tails of spine and some cracking along spine edge in places.
Previous owner's bookplate to first pastedown 'Ralph Riddell' and original French owner's name has been rubbed away on title page leaving a hole in places. Text is good throughout with occasional foxing commensurate with age. Some cracking at internal hinges but binding still sound. French language.
