Inscribed and signed by the author to David Daiches - who was a Scottish historian and literary critic (1912 - 2005), with an extensive list of published works. Signed in Merlin Stone, Woodbury, Conn, September 23rd 1963.

A very good green cloth hardback of this scarce edition, with gilt title to front. Some small creasing in the cloth and some wear and minor spotting.

Text is bright and clean throughout and soundly bound. No foxing.

Dustjacket is good, with some shelf wear and rubbing. One ink 'correction' mark to the spelling of one letter on the inner flap of the dustjacket.
