A signed biography of Geraldine Farrar (1882-1967), American soprano, and the first singer to make a radio broadcast, in 1907. She also starred in more than a dozen films from 1915 to 1920.

The book was published by University Book Store, Seattle, 1929. Published in a limited, numbered, edition of 350 copies - this being number 16. Signed by Geraldine Farrar. The auction catalogue issued by King Brown, Conn.

A very good blue cloth hardback with gilt facsimile signature to front. Dustjacket is poor, with only the front and spine remaining, albeit with losses and held in place by clear protective plastic cover. Previous owner's bookplate to first pastedown and pencil name and address to free blank endpaper. Some offsetting to first free endpaper.Text is clear and bright throughout. One 3cm marginal edge tear to top of p.24. Title page in printed in black and green. uncut top edge at dedication. A decent copy.

The auction catalogue is in simple typed style, bound with staples, and with fold mark at centre. Otherwise, bright and clean, and a rare bonus with the book.
