A fair red cloth hardback with leather spine with raised bands. Covers are heavily worn, with split hinge to front and inner joints also split, but held in place with strengthening tape. Leather spine has been glued. Further tape to front endpapers. Owner's pencil signature to endpaper. Setting aside the cover damage the text block itself is good throughout, remaining bright and clean, with occasional toning and spotting.Dulled gilt edges to text block.
The book is an excellent reference volume, with impressive plates. An imperfect volume, but priced appropriately.
