Published by Gresham Publishing Company, London, 1913. First edition, with the 1913 date on the title page. We have sold numerous copies of this title in the past and this is the only copy we have ever seen with the 1913 date on the title page. Having seen many books from this series, we had previously thought that these books were always undated, but feel that this copy is likely to be a first impression due to the printed date.

This volume is from the earlier Art Nouveau style binding of the book.

Attractive hardback in printed cloth, with gilt decals to front and spine. Very good condition. Covers with some bumping and wear, with a few indentations and marks in the spine area. Gilt top edge to text block and some spotting to page edges. Some spotting to endpapers and occasional light scattered spotting to the text pages, which are on the whole very good - nice and bright, with the plates well presented. With some slight give in the spine, but soundly bound. Previous owner's name to first free endpaper.
