These are fragments of his most important work on the history of Rome, not all of which survived.

Hardback with original calf leather covers. The covers are now detached, with the spine remaining attached to the text block. Text block is in very good condition with minor age discoloration and wear and occasional scholarly pencil annotations. Illustrated title page + 13pp prelims + 310pp + 34pp.
