Memoir of Robert Chambers with Autobiographic Reminiscences of William Chambers, 1872
Robert Chambers, along with his elder brother William, were Scottish Publishers, and highly influential figures in 19th Century Scottish Society. A scientist in his own right, with a particular interest in geology, his most popular work was 'Vestiges of the Natural History of Creation', but it was published anonymously due to its controversial evolutionary subject matter. It was even published via a different publisher and not his own firm, to distance himself as much as possible.
