A good set of 4 volumes with red leather spines with gilt titles and red paper over boards -worn, faed and bumped. Marbled edges to text block.
Text is firmly bound and is generally nice and bright throughout, with faults as below;
Volume 1: Prelims + 388pp. 2 title pages detached from spine for around 5.5cm at the top, but still bound in below. Some light staining to some of the text.
Volume 2: Prelims + 368pp + 1pp: Some light staining to some of the text, particularly at the rear. 1 cm nibble missing on edge of p. 359.
Volume 3: Prelims + 402pp + 1pp: Some light staining to some of the text and a couple of worm holes running through to p225.
Volume 4: Prelims + 323pp + 1pp. Some light staining to some of the text
