A very good set of this well illustrated monograph on this family of winged insects.
Bound with black leather spines and corners, with raised bands and gilt titles. Green cloth over boards. Some mild wear and bumping with a few marks to cloth and text block edges. Ex-library set with the usual markings, including official withdrawn stamp. Library stamps to blank rear of plates only.
Marbled endpapers with library labels. Text is very good throughout with occasional age spotting or minor mark. volume 2 with occasional showthrough to guttering.
A handsome set of volumes. Volume 1 is profusely illustrated in colour, with very attractive plates, and Volume 2 is mainly in black and white. An uncommon set.
