Old Thai Statue of Japanese Lady, circa 1960s, 43cm high.

This carving originates in Thailand, but depicts a Japanese lady - the carving dates to circa 1960s (although it looks much older than that due to weathering). This beautiful Thai carving, from Northern Thailand, depicts a Japanese lady, in kneeling posture. A very unusual piece from Thailand.

Teakwood - old wear to the polychrome finish and particularly worn at the base. A very attractive statue mounted on a modern black wooden stand. 

Height on stand = 60cm. Width = 23cm. Depth = 13cm.
