Very attractively produced exhibition catalogue for the paintings of Taikan Yokoyama.

Taikan Yokoyama was a major figure in Japanese painting. His real name was Sakai Hidemaro. 1868-1958.

Consists of outer folder made from textured Japanese card, with embossed and printed characters. Interior consist of a booklet with a textured pink card cover and 16pp text inside including 4pp plates.

Also are 14 high quality loose leaf colour and black and white plates, one of which is a gatefold containing 2 images.

Outer cover is very good condition overall. Outer cover has a 3cm tear on the corner seam, but no missing pieces. Brochure and text/plates in near fine condition, with just a touch of age discoloration to edges of plates.

Text primarily in French with some Japanese. Printed in Japan.

A very scarce set.
