The Atheist: or, the Second Part of the Souldiers Fortune. Acted at the Duke's Theatre. Written by Tho. Otway. By Thomas Otway, 1684.
Printed for R. Bentley and J. Tonson, London, 1684. Rare 1684 edition - presumed first edition.
A very good copy of this early theatrical work. Bound in half leather with brown linen over boards. Ex-library - Brooklyn Public Library bookplate to first pastedown; "Bought from the Income of the bequest received in 1902, of James A. N. Bell." A few minor library annotations inside. Text is very good. All soundly bound. Not surprisingly age discolored, with occasional spotting, but really an attractive and interesting object.
8pp prelims + 75pp.
Dimensions: Approximately 221mm x 174mm x 9mm.
