A good red cloth hardback with black and gilt decoration. Covers scuffed and bumped with some discoloration to spine. A little give in the spine as front endpapers are split, but all still bound. Gilt edges to text block.

A few age spots to extremities, but overall the text is nice and clean. The book is illustrated by lovely steel engravings.
