Published by William Tegg, London. The books are undated, and no edition stated. The books were first published c. 1825 to 1829. The Publisher, William Tegg, acquired the rights to publish these books in the late 1820s, so they are probably fairly early printings, but not first editions.

These popular books featured a miscellany of 'curios' and 'amusements' on different subjects, in organised fashion, from which the reader could dip in and out.

A very good set of 3 green leather hardbacks. The books have been professionally restored at some point with original covers and spines mounted onto matching leather support. With wear and bumping. Red morocco labels to spine with gilt decals. With marbled edges to text block, with matching endpapers.

Binding is completely secure with the restoration strengthening the joints.

Some mild spotting, and minor flaws to the few pages at either end of the books, the text is overall clean and bright

Despite the absence of the second volume, the books still function as stand-alone volumes and are a striking addition to any library.
