Very impressive (and large and heavy) 2 volume set. This was originally intended to be a 3 volume set, but Volume 3 was never published.

Both volumes have green cloth over board covers with gilt lettering and motif. Volume 1 xxii + 638pp. Frontispiece + 116 plates (8 in colour). Volume 2 xviii + 257pp. Frontispiece + many tables and illustrations throughout.

Both volumes are in fine condition. Both dustjackets are present and covered in mylar. Both dustjackets have minor wear and are very good overall.

An excellent, authorative set.
