A good full burgundy leather hardback, with gilt decoration. Raised bands and tooled gilt decoration to spine, with morocco label. With minor scuffing and wear. Hinges of spine are worn and splitting at head and tail. Small loss of leather at head of spine. Some sun fading to top of front cover.
Prize presentation inscription to first free endpaper. Marbled endpapers. Text is near fine throughout - bright and clear. First map stands proud from the text, and wraps around text block edge due to the nature of folds. Marbled edges to text block. Maps are bright and clear, with just a couple of minor closed tears near fold-out point near gutter.
