Printed for the United Company of Booksellers, Dublin, 1775. Uncommon edition.

A very good hardback set overall, in full calf contemporary calf leather, with burgundy morocco title labels with gilt, and raised bands to spine. The leather with an attractive aged patina. Mild wear and bumping. Some chipping to leather at head of spine in places. A few volumes with some cracking to endpaper gutter, but a soundly bound set.

In first volume, Italian bookseller's label to first pastedown and previous owner's inscription to reverse of first free blank endpaper. Pastedowns also with owner's inscribed swirl mark. Some spotting to endpapers.

Text is very good and is generally nice and bright with occasional spotting. Some text sections have foxed/age-discolored pages, particularly in latter volumes, but overall a most handsome set indeed.

Text in English.
