A good set of this comprehensive encyclopaedia set with high quality illustrations and fold-out maps. 6 Volumes complete.
Brown cloth hardback with leather spine and corners, Raised bands and gilt titles. Marbled edges to text block. Covers are bumped and shelfworn. Books are soundly bound with some splitting to endpapers at inner joints. Bookbinders sticker from W & G Baird, Belfast to first pastedown.
Volumes generally have foxing to endpapers and age spotting to the first few pages. Frontispiece pages generally have some staining. Text is very good with minor spotting and occasional paper tear to fold-outs.
A good example of an uncommon set.
