Sir Cecil Spring Rice (1859-1918), was a British Diplomat and Ambassador to the United States from 1912-1918, where he organised efforts to end American neutrality during the First World War.

Published by Constable & Co Ltd, London, 1929 first edition.

A good set of 2 burgundy cloth hardbacks. Some scuffing, shelf wear and bumping to extremities. Gilt titles to spine. Books are soundly bound, but with a little give in the spine. 

Text is bright and clean throughout. Some light spotting to endpapers. Text block edges with noticeable spotting. Gilt top edge. All Plates present as called for.
