2: Salesman's Sample Prospectus for the above book. Publisher listed as Universal Book and Bible House, Philadelphia;
3. Two vintage postcards (undated) featuring The Titantic; and;
4. 8pp Daily Mirror, dated April 17, 1912, 2 days after Titantic sank. No. 2.646. Please note - whilst this newspaper looks to have considerable age, we do not know if this is an original newspaper or a later reprint.
The 2 books are first edition originals from 1912. They were produced quickly after the disaster, and were sold for $1.00.
A fair condition set - cloth hardbacks, bumped, soiled and frayed to extremities. With tipped-on image to the front cover - fragile and worn to the main book. Some staining to blank endpapers in the main book. Age toned pages with marks, spotting, and scattered flaws. The prospectus is fragile with a few pages detached and split to webbing at inner hinges.
Far from perfect, but a very scarce original set, with few salesman's prospectus copies likely to still survive.
