The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Translated from the original runes by Hermione Granger. Commentary by Albus Dumbledore. Introduction, Notes and Illustrations by J.K. Rowling.

Published by the Children's High Level Group, London. Stated first edition, December, 2008.

The set comprises a large outer clamshell case in faux leather, resembling an ancient tome from the Hogwart's library. The case opens to reveal a black velvet interior. On the left is a pocket, housing a printed envelope containing 10 Collector's Edition prints by J.K. Rowling. On the right, a rectangular cavity houses a burgundy velvet drawstring bag with golden ties, and the embroidered signature of J.K. Rowling in gold thread.

Inside the bag is the book of The Tales of Beedle the Bard. The book is a hardback in brown faux leather with silvered metal decorative onlays including a central skull, adorned with faux blue gemstones. The book opens via a clasp. There are marbled endpapers and an emerald green page marker ribbon. The book has an introduction in facsimile of J.K. Rowling's handwriting.

The book is in fine condition and appears to be unread.
The velvet bag and interior of the clamshell are also fine.
The envelope with 10 prints (as called for) is also fine.
The outer clamshell case is very good overall - structurally sound, but with some wear and scuffing.
