The Vocabulary of The Greek Testament, James Hope Moulton & George Milligan

The Vocabulary of The Greek Testament, by James Hope Moulton & George Milligan.

Published by Hodder and Stoughton, London. Originally published in a series of parts between 1914 and 1929, this was the following, substantial, 'One Volume' edition - and it was pricey at 6 Guineas. Sadly it is undated, as the full title page has been neatly cut and removed, leaving only the half title. This was probably sneakily removed, so it could used as a main title page for the series of parts, which somebody was going to have bound in a book perhaps?

There is no other text missing as the main text begins 'Prefatory Note' which matches other copies we have seen. We believe this is likely to be the 1930 first edition thus, as the later 1949 reprint from Hodder & Stoughton contains an extra xxxii page of replacement text of minor corrections, which is not included here.

A very good burgundy cloth hardback with gilt title to spine, with only very minor wear. Dustjacket is intact and wrapped in a protective cover, with discolored edges where the protective cover has been fixed. Some wear marks.

Text is near fine - lovely and clean throughout, with some age spotting to edge of text block.

Text in English and Greek.

half title + v-xxxi + 705pp.

Dimensions: Approx 286mm high x 230mm wide x 50mm deep.
