A good hardback with raised bands and gilt titles. Boards are scuffed and bumped with splitting at the head of the spine for about 2cm. Light cracking to marbled endpapers covering inner joint, but still soundly bound.
Text is nice and bright throughout with age spotting and light water staining to text. An attractive owner's signature dated to 1866 on blank free endpaper. Frontispiece. glt edge to text block. Imperfect, but a good reading copy.
