Verses Piscatory and Amatory, 1924, by Henry Lamond, Signed, numbered, limited edition 85/250
An interesting book of verse, covering themes of both angling and love matters.
Verses Piscatory and Amatory, by Henry Lamond, of Luss, Dumbartonshire.
Published by Philip Allan & Co., London. First edition. Signed by the author to the limitation page, this being number 85 of 250 copies printed. Printed on 25th April 1924.
A very good hardback with grey paper over boards, and an ivory cloth spine (resembling vellum), and printed title label to front cover. Cover with some light soiling and wear, and some fading. Just a slight bow to the front cover. Plain endpapers with some spotting and a little crinkling to the pastedowns. Soundly bound.
Overall text is very good - bright and clean throughout, on a good quality paper. With rough cut deckled vertical edge - a little age toned to the edges. Looks unread - there are still a few uncut vertical edges. Title page printed in 2 colours.
