We have recently acquired a large collection of original vintage pianola rolls - continuous rolls of paper with punched holes which can be read by Pianola and reproducing pianos to play complete pieces of music mechanically, without the need for a human musician to be present.

Rolls such as these have been in production since 1896 and were at their peak between 1900 and 1927.

The rolls here are generally in very good condition (except where indicated and all are boxed. Boxes may have some wear and/or repairs.

Typical boxed dimensions of a roll: 318mm long x 56mm wide x 50mm high.

Typical weight of each roll, prior to packing is approximately 300-400g each. The larger Artistyle rolls are c. 650g.

Brand names include Regent, Meloto, Artistyle, Tehmodist, British Autoplayer, Aeolian and Universal.

These rolls are all full scale.
