A very smart copy of this intriguing Scottish work, which has been professionally rebound in blue cloth, and presents the book beautifully.

Scenes and Legends of the North of Scotland, or the Traditional History of Cromarty, by Hugh Miller.

Published by Adam and Charles Black, Edinburgh, and Longman, Rees, Orme, Brown, Green, and Longman, London. 1835 first edition.

A fine attractive hardback volume which has been bound in a later blue cloth, with silvered title to spine. Binding is crisp and clean, and everything is soundly bound. The Book is bound with white card endpapers.

Text is fine throughout - bright and clear. Previous owners' names to half title, including ink stamp of John Trevelyan. Half title a little age toned. Overall, a very attractive book of an uncommon first edition.
