A good full leather prize binding with raised bands, red morocco label and gilt decoration, The binding is from 'Edinburgh Institution' and carries an unused prize label on the first pastedown. Covers are scuffed and marked, and hinges rubbed and worn with endpapers split at front inner joint and cracked at rear, but all still bound.

Text is very good - bright and clean throughout. Some spotting to blanks at either end. Feathered marble endpapers with matching text block edges.
