A very attractive presentation set in a contemporary walnut veneer box which would make a wonderful present. Each volume is bound with red leather spines and corners, featuring gilt decoration with hunting motifs. Boards are covered with feathered marble paper, along with matching endpapers. Each volume also features numerous etchings, many of which are beautifully hand coloured. The plates have retained their colour beautifully.

The books are near fine overall. There is some scuffing to the marbled boards and minor bumping to the leather, but a very handsome set nonetheless. Bindings are sound. Text is lovely and clean and the plates very attractive. No problems with age spotting. One novel has a previous owner's ink stamp to first blank, and one with a small owner's label to first free endpaper.

The presentation box is in very nice condition, with a few scuffs and a little splitting at one corner where the top board is affixed, but is sound in nature and very attractive. No key for the box is present. As well as the hinged lid, the front panel is hinged and folds forwards.

Text in English.

Weight: approximately 6.5kg (the set - unpacked weight).

Dimensions:

Each volume approximately 231mm tall x 160mm wide x 32-39mm deep.
