胡慶育詩詞集 (Poem Collections by Hu Qing Yu) - 4 Volume Set.

This 4 Volume set comprises a handwritten poem by Hu Qing Yu  胡慶育, a former diplomat of Taiwan. The set appears to have been published privately by his children to share their father's poetry with the world. We believe it was published in 1972.

A set in fine condition throughout. A tiny bit of foxing to inner covers, but overall in very impressive condition. Traditional blue silk covers, thread-sewn.

Approximate dimensions of each volume: 318mm high x 194mm wide x 12mm deep.

Provenance: Collection of Eddie Tseng Po (1915-1989). He was a top newsman, at the centre of many world events. He held position such as the Far East Bureau chief of CNA, editor of the Hong Kong Times, President of the Hong Kong Correspondents Club, and undertook diplomatic roles on behalf of the Republic of China government in Taiwan. He was given a near state funeral in Hong Kong and a second one, with military honours, in Taiwan.
