Hogarth Lectures No. 5: Lyrical Poetry from Blake to Hardy, by H. J. C. Grierson. This copy carries his signature and an inscription on the first free endpaper. He writes the William Wordsworth poem 'October, 1803' in its entirety. Also included is the poem transcribed on a typewritten sheet.

A good orange cloth hardback with some wear in original paper dustjacket. Jacket is rather grubby with much discoloration to the spine and a little bumped. Inner gutter joint cracked to webbing after first free endpaper, but all still bound. Text pages are age spotted throughout, including edge of text block.
