Produced as part of Garland's series on "Outstanding Dissertations in the Fine Arts". First edition thus. Text has retained its original typesetting. Likely to have been produced as a very limited run aimed primarily at academic institutions. Very scarce.
A very good blue cloth hardback with silver titles to spine. Mild rubbing and bumping. Text is very good - bright and clean, and soundly bound. One thumbing mark area to edge of text block. Illustrated.
