A genuine early 17th-century English theological work, offered honestly in unrestored condition.

Imprinted by Felix Kyngston, for Robert Bostocke, and are to be sold at his shop in Pauls Churchyard at the signe of the Kings Head, London, 1632. A scarce first edition.
Contemporary calf, worn, with perished spine and exposed sewn repairs; boards present. Text block clear and legible with age toning, some markings, and wear to extremities. With extensive marginal scripture references throughout. Early manuscript ownership inscriptions of Matthew Stickney dated 1769 and 1824. Previous owner's name obscured on first text page. Binding is weak with exposed threads and gutter gaps.
Imperfect: title page lacking; text present to p. 482, lacking pp. 483–525 inclusive, including the final leaf with “Finis”. Duplicate pagination at p. 370, as issued.
