A late science fiction novel by the highly influential British writer Brian Aldiss, Finches of Mars was published in 2013 and announced by the author as his final full-length work of science fiction. Set within an established human colony on Mars, the novel explores themes of colonisation, evolution, cultural division, and the long-term survival of humanity as settlers struggle to create a sustainable civilisation away from an increasingly unstable Earth.

Published by The Friday Project, London, 2013. First edition, first impression. This was one of only 200 copies which were signed by the author to the title page, and also hand numbered. This copy being No. 113 out of 200.

An as new, fine, unread, blue cloth hardback with metallic red title to spine. With jacket in near fine condition with some light scuffing to rear. No price-clipping or extraneous promotional or 'signed by author' stickers. For those unfamiliar with this title, the cover design features the title in a white roundel - this is not a sticker, but part of the printed cover design.

The jacket now housed in protective, removable, clear plastic.

The text is bright, clean and soundly bound.
