A collection of short stories featuring the character of Antrobus, one of the author's recurring comic and satirical creations. First published by Faber and Faber in 1966, Sauve Qui Peut brings together a sequence of witty and eccentric pieces combining travel, absurdity, literary parody, and Durrell's distinctive cosmopolitan humour. Most of the stories were previously featured in other publications, and this volume collects them together along with some new tales.

Sauve Qui Peut, by Lawrence Durrell. 'Nicolas Bentley drew the pictures'.
