A very good, substantial set of two clothbound hardback volumes, housed in an outer slipcase. The slipcase is in good condition - intact, but with some spotting and soiling. With gilt metallic printed label to spine. The two books have some discoloration to base of spines, not affecting text. The covers have gilt title and facsimile signature to front, and spines form the Texas star. All soundly bound.
Text is clean and bright throughout. Illustrated in black and white, but with colour map endpapers. Some minor speckled spotting to edge of text block. Neat bookplate of 'Baker Stephen Covington Taylor' to first pastedowns (a British-American national and Church minister, formerly a director of The Openspace Trust, Aberdeen).
