Chinese bronze jue drinking vessel, archaic form

Beautiful Chinese bronze vessel in the style of a Shang ritual bronze jue of the 11th century BC.

Sadly not an original piece from this era, but nonetheless a beautiful object of unknown age. Intriguingly the word "Japan" can be found stamped into the vessel - perhaps a previous collector's misidentification?
