A fair to good hardback with leather spine and corners. Leather is worn, scuffed and bumped, with some losses. Marbled paper over boards is scuffed and worn. Paper at inner joints is split, but all still bound by the threads. Bookplate of Charles Baxter to first pastedown. Previous owner's signatures to first free endpaper, and remains of some pencil scratches to first blank spread.

Text block is good throughout with scattered foxing. A good reading copy of the works of the 'Father of Tragedy'. An uncommon edition.
