A very good set of maroon cloth hardbacks with gilt armorial to front (absent from Tales from Shakspeare), and gilt titles to spine. With some light shelf wear and bumping. A couple of the volumes have some more pronounced scuffing or cover markings. All soundly bound.

Mild offsetting to endpapers and light spotting to text block edges. Text is clean and bright throughout. Occasional minor flaw. Prize presentation bookplate (Glasgow), to Essays of Elia volume. Occasional pencil annotations. A good value set.
