A very good brown leather hardback with gilt to cover and spine. With shelf wear and bumping. Cracking to vertical edge of spine at front cover. Soundly bound. A little splitting to front endpapers at inner joint. A lovely book - well illustrated throughout and with gilt edges to text block and silk ribbon.
A 6cm tear to edge of frontispiece image. Some foxing to some of the pages at front and rear of book, but the vast majority of pages are beautifully clean and bright. A really attractive production of this classic work.
