A very smart copy of this excellent 'Culture' science fiction novel by Scottish author Iain M. Banks.

Published by Orbit, a Division of Little, Brown and Company (UK), London, 1996. First edition, first impression. Signed by the author to the title page, with the inscription "To John, Cheers, Iain M. Banks". The 'John' in question is myself - the book was signed in person for me by Iain at the launch booksigning in London in 1996.

A near fine navy blue cloth hardback with silver metallic titles. With in its original dustjacket, also in near fine condition. The jacket is housed in removable, clear protective plastic.

Text is bright and clean with mild age toning to extremities, as is normally the case for this title. All soundly bound.
