Annie S. Swan is said to be one of the most commercially successful novelists of the late 19th and early 20th century. She was Scottish and lived from 1859-1943. She was involved in the suffrage movement, a Liberal activist, and a founder member and Vice President of the Scottish National Party.

A good paperback with colour printed covers. Covers with some creasing and wear, and a few edge nicks and tears. Some discoloration to spine and rear. 

Text is clean throughout with mild age toning to paper. Previous owner's signature to free endpaper. An uncommon edition.
