A good copy of this now uncommon first paperback edition of The Hobbit.. Some light rubbing to covers and rubbed along joints, with a 2cm crack at tail of spine, but all soundly bound. Cover design by Pauline Baynes.
Text is clean and legible, with some age-toning to paper throughout, and a few marks to edge of text block. No inscriptions or owner's marks.
A nice copy of this first edition and in better shape than is often the case.
