A near fine green cloth hardback in original Publisher's dark green cloth with gilt titles to cover. Binding is sound. Pictorial map endpapers are bright and clean. The dustjacket is in fine condition, and is based on Tolkien's first edition design - bright, clean and unclipped. A few light spots to edge of text block. Dustjacket now housed in removable, clear, protective plastic. No owner's inscriptions.
