A near fine set bound with calf spine and corners and feathered marbling over board. With raised bands and gilt to spine. Set bound by Carrs & Co, Glasgow. Bindings are tight and sound with minimal wear. Spines slightly darkened. No owner's signatures or bookplates.
Text block with red edges. Text is for the most part lovely and clean with only occasional light foxing, but overall is a most handsome set.
